Admissions

How to apply to our school.

Are you interested in applying to our school? We look forward to meeting you and getting to know your child! These steps will walk you through the process:

Montessori Pathways is dedicated to helping your child develop skills, attitudes and habits that encourage self-confidence, independence, and creative intelligence. Children progress at their own pace. Therefore, to ensure that we address your child’s needs, all new students are enrolled at the school on a six week trial period, after which the student’s progress is evaluated to determine whether the student will benefit from continuing. All children, regardless of race, color, creed and national or ethnic origin, are eligible for enrollment at Montessori Pathways.

A completed registration form and payment of registration fee (non-refundable) places the student’s name on a waiting list for consideration as vacancies arise. When a vacancy occurs, order of the application is observed as well as maintaining a balance of age and gender in the classroom. An interview is then arranged for the prospective student, his parents, and a staff member to help determine the student’s readiness for school, to introduce the student to the program, and to establish understanding between the family and the school. The registration fee is an annual fee and is not pro-rated, regardless of the time of year a student is enrolled.

1. Contact Our Admissions Director

It’s never too early to begin the application process. Leila Araboff, director of admissions, can be reached via phone or email. Your first conversation will be a chance to let us know how old your child is and what program you are interested in applying for. We will invite you to schedule a visit to the school so that you may tour the campus and see in person what we have to offer.

2. Schedule a Tour and Classroom Observation

Initial visits are scheduled for weekday mornings. This gives prospective families a chance to see the uninterrupted morning work cycle: a hallmark of Montessori education. Your visit will start with a tour of the school, followed by a chance to sit and observe a class at work. Before you leave, you will have an opportunity to meet with our administrative staff to ask any question you may have. Please note that these initial visits are for adults only.

3. Secure Your Child’s Enrollment

Submit the Enrollment Package (download here or pickup at the school) to the front office along with the registration fee to secure your child's spot. Deposit and 1st month's tuition is due within two weeks of notice of acceptance.
